Channing Tatum Plans to Leave Fox’s Gambit Movie

Bad news is looming for fans eagerly anticipating the new Gambit solo movie from Fox as reports are coming in that the main star, Channing Tatum, is dropping from the project.

After starting casting calls and screen testing actress Lea Seydoux, it seems like ‘something is up’ between Fox and Channing Tatum. Both parties have been quiet ever since the news broke out an hour or so ago but there’s definitely tension according to insider tweets and social media posts.

The project was supposed to be the start of many solo X-Men projects for the Fox-verse Marvel movies but this could be a HUGE speed bump.

Tatum isn’t just the star he’s also helping behind the scenes together with Rupert Wyatt. Now it seems Wyatt has a bigger decision to take which is finding the right replacement for Magic Mike.

At the moment it isn’t clear also as to whether or not Tatum and producing partner Reid Carolin would still help out with the project or if the team of Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner would step up the plate and do their own thing.

We here at WAG feel that it’d be a crying shame for Tatum to leave this potentially big project especially after he already made an appearance at SDCC to promote the film.
