Get Hyped for ESGS 2016

The Hype Continues with E-Sports and Gaming Summit 2016

 

Manila, Philippines (October 5, 2016) – The hype continues and it’s bigger than ever. Gariath Concepts and presenter PLDT Home Fibr are proud to bring E-Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) once again on October 28 to 30, 2016 at Function Halls 1-3, SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia compound, Pasay City for an epic celebration on everything that is gaming.

Now a 3-day event, ESGS 2016 will be showcasing all things in the world of gaming, ranging from games on PC, consoles and mobile whether from top game publishers or independent game developers. And expect adrenaline-pumping action from professional players competing on a large line-up of E-sports tournaments.

There are more major activities planned for the event here are what you can expect:

The Big Names in Gaming are Here!

Some of the biggest game publishers and E-sports body will be making waves in ESGS 2016; Bandai Namco Entertainment will be hosting the very first Tekken 7 tournament Philippine Qualifiers for a spot in the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016. Sony PlayStation, Capcom and Ubisoft will be featuring some of their new titles for 2016 and 2017 and a playing area for attendees to try out the demos. Super Evil Megacorp will also be hosting a tournament for their hit game Vainglory that are aimed towards competitive mobile gamers. MSI will be hosting a rig modders competition to showcase some of the best PC rig mods created by the rig modder community. Plus, you can expect more game showcases from the other participating gaming brands, publishers and developers in an all-weekend game extravaganza.

IGA-vania is in Manila

Koji Igarashi, or better known as IGA, will be at ESGS 2016 to showcase his upcoming game project Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Igarashi is better known as the assistant director of the famous PlayStation game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and producer to the succeeding Castlevania games starting with Castlevania Chronicles up to Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. Now continuing his new project in a new company, Igarashi launched a crowdsourcing campaign for Bloodstained last year and it became the second most funded Kickstarter project for video games.

Gear up for Action with Brawl Fest

Two of the major attractions in ESGS 2016 will be making its return, one of them is the compilation of the country’s biggest fighting game communities (Cosmic Gorgons, Imperium, Pinoy PlayStation and Playbook) where they will be hosting a series of fighting game tournaments including Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat XL, Super Smash Bros., The King of Fighters XIV, Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost and many more.

Power to the Indies with Indie Arena

A select number of independent game developers from both local and international will be sharing their current projects and finished games to the public at the Indie Arena area. This is the chance for gamers to experience some of the finest independent games created by our local talents in game development.

Go Epic with the Cosplay Competition

The cosplay competition will be getting an upgrade as there will be two cosplay activities for those who wants to be as their favorite gaming character inside the event. A costrip activity will be happening on the Saturday event where lucky cosplayers roaming around the event area will be featured and win a prize. Then on Sunday, the cosplay competition will showcase some of the best cosplayers on stage for a chance to bring home PhP 15,000 cash prize. The cosplay activities will be handled by Anime Alliance.

Support our Local Developers at Gamefest

With the rise of the gaming in the country, a special section will be handled by The Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) where it focuses more on business and academic for both gaming and IT.

So are you all hyped for ESGS 2016? Then be sure to get your tickets right now at any SM Ticket outlets nationwide, Day 1 will be priced at PhP 140 while Days 2 and 3 will be at PhP 165. The E-Sports and Gaming Summit 2016 will be on October 28 to 30, 2016 at Function Halls 1-3, SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia compound, Pasay City.
