Fans of Arnold Arre, rejoice! The Filipino comic book writer/artist is working on (presumably) a new graphic novel.
Arre teased two images of the book, titled Busilak, on his Facebook page. While he didn’t go into more detail about the project, it appears he will be tapping into Filipino mythology once more.
Arre also posted a character sketch titled “Kapre Lass,” which he says is “for something I’m working on.”
Arnold Arre is known for graphic novel The Mythology Class (1999), which won a Manila Critics Circle National Book Award. He also created After Eden (2002), Ang Mundo ni Andong Agimat (2006), and Martial Law Babies (2008). Aside from his comics work, Arre also does design, illustration, and animation.
