Folks! Marvel Studios has officially cast Tom Holland as the new Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man!
The nineteen year old English Actor gained popularity when he played the role of Billy Elliot in Billy Elliot The Musical. He also starred in the film “The Impossible” together with Ewan McGregor.
His last foray in media was playing the role of Gregory Cromwell in the TV series “Wolf Hall”
The actor follows actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire who both played Peter Parker/ Spider-Man in the past few years.
In February of this year, Marvel and Sony Pictures announced that they had reached an agreement to work together on the cinematic future of Spider-Man. As part of the deal, the new Spider-Man will first appear in Captain America: Civil War, before starring in a solo Spider-Man movie to be released on July 28, 2017.
