The What’s A Geek! team has received insider information that Zack Snyder is trying to get Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Red Notice), and Ben Affleck (Justice League, Argo) for a redo of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” but this time based on Volume 1 of “Trinity” under the DC Rebirth lineup, with a working title of “Zack Snyder’s Trinity.”
According to the source, this move has been in the works since the announcement of the DCU “shake-up” courtesy of former MCU director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) following the release of “Black Adam.”
It’s yet to be revealed whether “Zack Snyder’s Trinity” will be under the current DCU banner or its continuity akin to “The Joker.” It’s also unknown whether this film will spawn into Snyder’s own take of the DC Universe similar to the plans with Gunn.
The source also mentioned en passing that a scene from Ezra Miller‘s “The Flash” should reference this upcoming project, although it may likely be shelved due to ongoing contract conflicts with the former Justice League stars.
