X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Rogue Cut to be released Summer 2015

Fox Home Entertainment Executive Vice President of Marketing Communications, James Finn confirmed to fans via Twitter that the “Rogue Cut” of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will be released in Summer 2015.

The film’s alternate cut will feature Rogue (played by Anna Paquin) rescue sequence, among other scenes not included in the film or even its previous Blu-ray release deleted scenes. According to Finn, this new release will be a “distinct film” with “distinct extras [that are] complimentary to [the original] DOFP Blu-ray, but not repetitive.”

The scene is an action sequence in which Magneto (played by Ian McKellen) and Iceman (played by Shawn Ashmore) must break Rogue out of one of the future mutant concentration camps, so that she can absorb the wounded Kitty Pryde’s powers and take over as Wolverine’s time travel anchor.
