Welcome to #NerdMusicMonday, where we feature some of the greatest geek-inspired music to start your week on the right note. We also review geek-inspired music things that we see floating around the Internet, for better or worse.
Unless you’re living under a rock, you may have heard of this new phenomenal 1980’s-inspired Netflix show that’s currently taking the world by storm. You know, Stranger Things? If you haven’t seen an episode yet, it’s okay. Go and put that Netflix subscription to good use and watch it. We’ll wait.
Finished? Good. If you’re anything like me, you may have started to love Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, and Eleven’s exploits.
If you feel like going out to the Upside-Down on your own, you shouldn’t go there unprepared. Pack up a bunch of Eggos, a wrist rocket, and this playlist full of classic tunes that were featured on the show. There’s Jefferson Airplane, The Clash, Toto, Modern English, and more.
The official score will be released soon, but before we get to enjoy the synth-y goodness of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, this soundtrack will probably tide us over.
Besides, who doesn’t want to listen to Raegan Youth blasting in your ears while running away from the Demogorgon?
Do you make your own geeky tunes? Do you want to be featured on What’s A Geek’s #NerdMusicMonday? Let us know about your music by sending us an email here!
