Exciting New Magic: The Gathering Documentary To Be Released.

A new Magic: The Gathering documentary about the card game titled Enter the Battlefield-Life on the Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour is set to be released later this month. The documentary will feature the stories and struggles of seven influential players of the popular card game such as Patrick Chapin “The Innovator”, a player and brewer who is a proven deck builder with his extreme creativity and meticulous knowledge of the game. In the documentary, we will follow the exploits and adventures of the players as they reach higher levels in the Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour.

For those unaware of the card game’s more competitive aspects, The Pro Tour is THE highest level event for Magic: The Gathering players. Requiring several qualifiers and a lot of grinding using the official points system (for both regular Planeswalker Points AND Pro points), only the best and most dedicated from all over the world get a chance to show their skill at the highest level but even then that may not be enough to stay at the top spot (consecutive Top 8s) like some of the famous faces of the Magic: The Gathering PRO community.

Whether you’re a competitive player, a casual player or just want to learn more about the game your kids and friends are playing, this can provide additional insight into one of the most loved and most popular card game on the planet.

You can check out the trailer here:

Shawn Kornhauser and Nathan Holt are creators of some web-series on the Magic : The Gathering YouTube channel among other content, my favorite being the Pro Tour Open House which are a set of videos that feature a Magic: The Gathering team, The Pantheon. As of right now, The Pantheon is the only team featured but I do hope we can get a glimpse of more MTG teams  in the future.

Enter the Battlefield is coming to Netflix and Youtube on April 26, 2016. You can also watch it on twitch.tv/magic on April 25, 2016 to see the full documentary before its official premiere on the YouTube Channel. You can learn more about it on their website!
