First Look: Penny Dreadful’s Season 2 Posters

The tagline might be “No Rest for the Wicked,” but fans who were left hanging after the show’s 8-episode freshman run will be happy to know that Penny Dreadful returns to TV screens this coming May 3, 2015. The show was renewed last June, with an additional two episodes to expand the second season.

Promotional art for season two just hit the web via the show’s official Facebook page and they look good.

Created by writer John Logan of Gladiator and Sweeney Todd fame, and executively produced with Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, The Kite Runner), Penny Dreadful reimagines familiar iconic characters from Victorian gothic fiction. It stars Eva Green, Timothy Dalton, Josh Hartnett, Harry Treadaway, Rory Kinnear, Reeve Carney and Billie Piper.
