With Game of Thrones Season 6 less than 3 months away (88 days!), and with the fact the series has actually caught up with the books, there’s some serious speculation going on with the fate of our favourite bastard after that last gruesome scene during the Season 5 finale. There’s fan theories that have been around since A Dance with Dragons, principally that he might not be dead. Without the Winds of Winter or any future book to actually back that up, we’re basically left to guess.
Maisie Williams gets interviewed on the carpet of the UK Critics’ Circle Awards 2016, and guess what? She drops some weird hints on Jon Snow after some slight prodding:
I feel so mean because I speak to people and they’re all like “Jon Snow, is he back?” and it’s like really heartbreaking because people are like “yeah, but he’s coming back though?” It’s a great twist but I can’t say he’s going to be alive.
He’s going to be back, that’s for sure. But whether he’s alive or not… well, that’s anyone’s guess. And if the fan theories on the books are to be believed, we might be in for some serious Chosen One arc action!
Do you guys have any theories on the future of Jon Snow? Of Game of Thrones in general? Discuss in the comments below!
One thing’s for sure, though: I’m more than excited for April 25, 2016! (And for the sixth book, whenever that is!)
