Arkham Knight release pushed to June 23

This press release just popped up, regarding a slight delay on the release date of hotly-anticipated game Batman: Arkham Knight, plus a new gameplay vid.

Batman: Arkham Knight
will now launch worldwide on June 23, 2015. We’re a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it’s going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. As a reward for your patience and understanding, and to make the wait even more unbearable, we are pleased to whet your appetite with a new gameplay video of Batman: Arkham Knight.

Thanks so much from everyone at Rocksteady for your continued support. We are working as hard as we can to make you proud.

 Sefton Hill
Game Director
Rocksteady Studios

Well, if there’s anyone worth waiting for, it’s Rocksteady, I think. Bumping the release date a few weeks isn’t so bad, so long as they deliver on all the hype. Speaking of hype though, ‘press L1 to even the odds.’

I dunno about you, but those few extra weeks are going to be torture waiting for this gorgeous game to come out.
