Cassie Cage, one of the new characters being introduced for Mortal Kombat X, isn’t really one of my favorites. Sure, she’s the daughter of badasses Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, but her “trendy” dialogue and teenage attitude rubs me the wrong way. I have a feeling she’s one of those characters that won’t age well in a couple of years and will be relegated to a cringe-inducing memory by the time MK 12 or 13 rolls around.
But I’ve seen her second Fatality, and right now, I don’t care if she becomes dated a couple of years from now. Because her second Fatality is all sorts of glorious. Watch it and your jaw will drop.
Everything about that Fatality was perfect – the selfie, the name of the social network, the duckface, and even the taunting comments in the end. I love everything about it. It’s a perfect addition to all of the Fatalities revealed so far.
