Mortal Kombat X: Jason Voorhees confirmed as DLC, plus the Cage family!

NetherRealm Studios have released a couple of new videos for Mortal Kombat X, one introducing the iconic character Jason Voorhees, and another focusing on the Cage family: Johnny Cage, his ex-wife Sonya Blade and their daughter, Cassie Cage.

Jason Voorhees now joins fellow icon Freddy Krueger as guest characters that got to participate in Mortal Kombat as DLC Kombatants after Freddy’s appearance in the last Mortal Kombat game.. NetherRealm also confirmed that Mortal Kombat X will come with a Season Pack DLC bundle, which would allow anyone who purchases the pack access to future MKX DLC. Here’s the official PR regarding Voorhees and the Season Pack:

In celebration of Friday 13th, today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed details for the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack, the ultimate pass providing fans with Mortal Kombat X downloadable content (DLC), some of which will be available beginning at launch. The Kombat Pack will include access to four playable characters still in development, including horror icon from the Friday the 13th films, Jason Voorhees, as well as two Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants and another special guest character. In the UK the Kombat Pack is included in the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition, and will be available for purchase separately for £24.99 ($29.99).

Starting 14th April, 2015, when Mortal Kombat X launches worldwide, fans who purchase the Kombat Pack will receive the Samurai Pack containing three new character skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana, as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character. Kombat Pack owners will gain early access to the following future DLC content before it is available for sale individually.
