Day three you guys. The Steam Holiday Sale is just starting to get rolling and I do hope your wallets are keeping up with all the Daily Deals and Flash Sales sprawling up here and there! And as usual, these deals will be available for the next 2 days or so to give you at least a bit of time to make a decision.
Europa Universalis IV – P249.98 (75% off)
“Fulfill Your Quest For Global Domination Paradox Development Studio is back with the fourth installment of the award-winning Europa Universalis series. The empire building game Europa Universalis IV gives you control of a nation to guide through the years in order to create a dominant global empire.”
Grand Strategy, with a huge emphasis on historical accuracy. There’s really not much to say about Europa Universalis for people who have lesser brains and could not get into the initial learning curve like myself. Do bear in mind that this game is another unbelievable time sink and you’d be wondering what happened to you the entire day when it’s already 9pm and you haven’t eaten breakfast yet.
METRO 2033 Redux – P314.97 (50% off)
“In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth’s surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033.”
Have you played one of the most immersive first-person shooters? Metro 2033 was a fantastic game created by Ukrainian developer 4A Games. Never heard of ’em? Neither have I, which made it even more amazing when they put out Metro 2033 way back in 2010. It’s an amazing game which puts emphasis on resource management, horror, and a great feel for a first-person shooter. There is little else like spending your last magazine on that post-apocalyptic abomination while you panic and try to look for a replacement for your nearly broken gas-mask as you run for shelter.
Oh and you see that “Redux” underneath the title? 4A Games even had the audacity to update their game with better stealth mechanics, and HD graphics to boot. Is Metro 2033 Redux worth your money? The answer would most definitely be yes. Then wait for Metro: Last Light, it’s sequel, to come on sale too.
Prison Architect – P151.98 (80% off)
“Build and Manage A Maximum Security Prison.”
Gee, Prison Architect. Thanks for making your game description way too brief. Design, Build, and Manage your Maximum Security Prison in this game and even manage your prisoners and guards’ safety, welfare, and mental status. We also need to mention that even while this game is still in Early Access, Prison Architect already has a boatload of content in it that it might as well should just be out and released already.
Although prisoners can’t make Music Videos, have concerts, or a Hotel with PS4’s inside like New Bilibid Prison. This game is entirely inaccurate. 1/10.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth – P281.36 (33% off)
“The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. Following Isaac on his journey players will find bizarre treasures that change Isaac’s form giving him super human abilities and enabling him to fight off droves of mysterious creatures, discover secrets and fight his way to safety. “
Well, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is the definitive version of “The Best Rogue-like” game available in the market. So, in short, it’s the better version of the best out there. I really don’t know why you are still reading this post and not killing off your mother with your own tears and playing this game. Not necessarily in the same order.
NBA 2K15 – 1,339.33 (33% off)
“For the first time in franchise history, the PC version of NBA 2K15 will be a fully featured Next-Gen experience. Nominated for 70 ‘Game of the Year’ Awards, NBA 2K is the ultimate basketball simulation experience.”
Okay, let me just get this out first before everything. AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA. The “Fully Featured Next-Gen experience” is on PC. Let me just laugh some more. We all know PCs are more capable than consoles, and not to mention PC is where you made your game anyway so this should really just be the norm. I don’t even have a powerful PC yet you should know these as just simple facts without being biased or catering to the “PC master race”.
Terrible marketing strategy aside, it’s NBA 2K15. I shouldn’t even be bothering why I believe having a percentage cut off of this game is a good thing. Especially with the fact this just came out 2 months ago. We all know sports franchises just release games on a yearly basis, and for us that buy into these things every single year, this is definitely a good deal if you haven’t already. And now, you have 10 more months to enjoy NBA 2K15 before NBA 2K16 comes out!
Oh it should also be noted that the PC port for this game, as it turns out, is actually quite good! Think about that right before the next tip-off!
So, what did you get for today? Personally, I’m just waiting for Prison Architect to allow my prisoners to hold concerts, and make music videos so they can all live the posh lifestyles they truly deserve. Y’know?
