Is Pepper Potts the Superior Iron Woman?

The House of Ideas certainly seems to have its hands full this May 2015 thanks to Secret Wars.

Marvel Comics has released its much-anticipated May 2015 solicitations today. As far as the Armored Avenger is concerned, the things that stood out were cover artist Mike Choi‘s spectacular work on issue #9 and the line “SUPERIOR IRON MAN IS DEAD! LONG LIVE SUPERIOR IRON WOMAN!”

Judging from the cover art (seen above), it seems Pepper Potts is going to suit up once again as Rescue (or Iron Woman rather). This major shake-up isn’t going to be a smooth transition, however, as the solicit also mentions a “surprising betrayal” in the works alongside an epic battle and, possibly, “the death of the TONY STARK we know and love”

Superior Iron Man is written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Yildiray Cinar.
