November 2017 Events: Quick Rundown

The holiday season is here, but it doesn’t mean there aren’t any fun events for us to enjoy! These events are the perfect ways to cap spooky October and welcome the early Christmas vibes.

Here are just some of the best events we can find that may be up your alley. You may find yourself a match, regardless if you’re a casual convention goer, an art fan, a film enthusiast, or a fitness buff.

Week 1 (Oct. 29 to Nov. 4)

How much do you know about Vincent Van Gogh? If you find yourself curious about the life of the celebrated artist, then you may want to head over to Black Maria Cinema for their screening of Loving Vincent this November 2. The film is a biopic of sorts about the famous artist. Moreover, the film talks of the life of Van Gogh through filmography that would capture any fan of the artist.

Week 2 (Nov. 5 to Nov. 11)

If Korean art is your fancy, then Hallyu Art Fair is the place for you. The November 5 event takes place in Whitespace Manila and it’s the first Korean art fair in the Philippines. Moreover, the event is perfect for art enthusiasts and those curious about Korean art. If you think Korea is all about K-pop, then this art fair will change your mind.

If you’re into wrestling, then you may have heard of Philippine Wrestling Revolution Vendetta. However, you can see the thrilling action yourself at Power Mac Center Spotlight on November 5.

Ready for more wrestling? Manila Wrestling Federation and its Balikbayan event this November 11 has got you covered. Moreover, if you’re itching to see what comes next in the lives of stars such as Ninja Ryujin and Rex Lawin, you better head to JMC Boxing Makati Square Arena for updates.

Itching to do amazing cosplay this year? Fret no more, as ASEANPex Cosplay Competition has got your back. Head over to the SMX Convention Center this November 5 and be part of the ASEAN Invitational Philatelic Exhibition. Additionally, you get to showcase your cosplaying skills!

If local flavor is your thing, then Komikon 2017 is something you cannot miss for the world. This year’s convention brings the best in local pop culture, uniting Filipino geeks across the country in one spectacular event. If you’re interested, you better head to Bayanihan Center, Unilab this November 11. Moreover, it seems a lot of rising artists and stars in various fields are coming over to share their creations with fans. This annual iteration of the historic event will definitely be one for the ages. Additionally, you may want to prepare your wallets as this year is another wild ride for sure.

Week 3 (Nov. 12 to Nov. 18)

However, if you’re looking for good vibes then we’ve got you. You can go to The Rockwell Club on two separate weekends for a day filled with fun under the sun. Nevertheless, get your November 10 and 11, and 17 and 18 reserved for Good Neighbor. Fans of the annual event will remember the good vibes, the good tunes, and the good food. Moreover, there are a ton of booths that will be set up where you and your friends can have a lot of time enjoying the day.

We can catch them all together! Folks at Pokemon Philippines are proud to present the official Philippine launch of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. Additionally, the game marks the final release of the franchise for its respective console, so let’s wait and see what’s in store for Nintendo and this historic franchise! Who knows, there might be more surprises along the way as well? Get to PlayGround Hobby Cafe this November 18 for the Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Ultra Launch Event

Wait, not a gaming fan? If you’re into books, we also have got your back. Moreover, if you also believe in the capability of books to bring people together, then Komura; Book Fair is for you. The book fair aims to reinvigorate the magic of finding friendships through books. Aside from books, magazines, and comics, the event will also have independent bookstores and specialty organizers. And if you’re really curious, you may want to reserve your November 18 and go to Warehouse Eight for the event.

Week 4 (Nov 19. to Nov. 25)

But wait, there’s more. If you ever fancied yourself a “hacker,” or if you’ve wanted to learn programming, then this might be for you. Folks at Cryptors Cybersecurity Inc. is offering a series of training seminars called Hacking with Python. Should you find this up your alley, better reserve your November 25 now. After all, we live in the digital age, so programming may be a good skill to add to your list of unique talents.

The month is not over yet, especially for fitness enthusiasts! If you’ve enjoyed Justice League, then it may be time to be part of it. Head down to Pasay this November 25 for an awesome Justice League themed fun run. Get your fitness attire ready, and feel the rush seep into you. Organizers tease the event as more than “just” a fun run, so you may want to get there and find out for yourself. After all, it’s much more fun to run thinking you’re as fast as the Flash! Who knows, you might be the next member of the Justice League.

Week 5 (Nov. 26 to Dec. 2)

Finally, here’s one for Broadway fans. Cap your November with Color Us Broadway: A Little Night of Musicals on November 29. Additionally, if you’re into an intimate setup with soothing music, go to the event at Punta Mandala and enjoy the music courtesy of Krizza Neri, Jay Barrameda, and MC Dela Cruz, with the piano by Krish Pincaro. Moreover, Jona will also be there as a guest artist!
