So, here’s the thing-
Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn rocks.
Why? It’s because she looks familiar – by familiar, I mean she’s not an impossibly-proportioned version of the character. There’s heft in her look, like she can seriously beat anyone to a pulp (even without her mallet or bat).
Here’s my two cents.
She looks real, and I like that. I’d even go so far as to say that I’d be able to comfortably cosplay her Harley someday. Why? Because, yes, she’s ‘chunky’. I’M CHUNKY and I’m okay with that (it took a long while for that to happen, but I’m happy I’m there).
What I don’t like is how some people are reacting, though.
Gaaah.
To each his own, I guess. It’s just that whenever I see a chauvinistic remark in this 1/6th collectible toy group I’m in, I get so reactive that it’s enough for me to want to leave the group.
