Things to be Excited About for Batman: Bad Blood

DC is at it again with a new animated feature length film to be released in 2016 and we’re back to another new Batman story called “Batman: Bad Blood“.

The official synopsis goes:

Bruce Wayne is missing. Alfred covers for him while Nightwing and Robin patrol Gotham City in his stead. And a new player, Batwoman, investigates Batman’s disappearance.

So here goes:

1. The animated film introduces to the animated canon two underutilized Bat-Family members namely Batwoman and Batwing.

2. We’re getting another fresh villain in the form of Heretic.

Heretic had so much ties to Batman and the latest Robin, Damian Wayne and while it might not be the case of being the clone of Damian, what’s more important is the fact that we’re getting a fresh villain for this flick.

3. It’s the film that shows the foundation of the Batman family

According to the news we’ve gathered this’ll be the first animated film where Batman really address the foundation of “Bat-Family” and no it looks like it won’t be founded by Batman. Could either be done by Alfred Pennyworth or by Nightwing.

Bad Blood features the voices of Jason O’Mara as Bruce Wayne/ Batman, Gaius Charles as Nightwing, Yvonne Strahovski as Batwoman, Stuart Allen as Damian Wayne/Robin, Morena Baccarin as Talia al Ghul, Gaius Charles as Luke Fox aka Batwing and Ernis Hudson as Lucius Fox. The film is directed by  Jay Oliva and produced by James Tucker.
