The hottest party of the summer is here! WWE Summer Slam 2015 is sure to bring the fireworks from Brooklyn, headlined by the in-ring return of The Phenom! Time to run down the card, folks!
We’ve seen this match-up a lot of times. It all boils down to the question of “will Randy Orton perform like he’s bored?” Probably the takeaway match of this card, which is rare for a match involving RKO. Prediction: Sheamus wins via shenanigans.
Two indie darlings are set to face each other which will surely ignite the crowd. It should be interesting to note that KO will be performing the night before in the NXT Takeover Brooklyn event, and in a ladder match no less! I do not see the feud ending here yet, so expect KO to be a douche in one way or another. Prediction: Cesaro wins via some KO shenanigans.
The Rusev-Lana situation certainly has had it’s ups and downs, but there’s a lot of potential with this feud especially after the addition of Summer Rae to the mix. Another feud I do not see ending quite yet. Prediction: Rusev via shenanigans
Look, it’s the Shield vs Wyatts all over again! Whenever these guys are in the ring together, something magical happens. This is also the match with the most potential to have a swerve. Prediction: Wyatt and Harper wins, new Wyatt Family member appears.
Stephen Amell (the star of CW’s Green Arrow) has been asking for this match with Stardust. Will he end up failing his city though? Stardust might seem to think so. Though if Stardust loses here, it would be fun to see how much more loony he can become. Prediction: Amell and Neville win.
The so-called Divas Revolution hasn’t really caught fire yet, however this match could change everything. Let’s just hope we get a decent storyline out of this. Another interesting thing to note is that Sasha Banks will also be competing at NXT Takeover Brooklyn prior to this, which can be a hindrance to Team BAD. Prediction: Team PCB wins
New Day has been killing it lately, mostly thanks to their antics. They would have a lot of difficulty in getting back their tag titles, and PTP surely won’t be giving it up easily. Sadly, this might go to the pre-show. Prediction: New Day wins
Please let this be the pre-show match instead. Prediction: Ryback retains
Now this is interesting in the sense that the outcome might be dependent on where it’s placed in the card. If this goes first before the Brock Lesnar-Undertaker match, I expect Rollins to win via Authority shenanigans. If this goes as the last match of the card, I expect Cena to win, only to lose the WHC to Sheamus via the Money in the Bank cash-in.
We get it: Taker is not the same as he used to be. He’s pretty much a shell of his old self. But as the old adage goes, “a man who’s got nothing to lose is one dangerous man”. The internet may not like it, but I sure as hell would not be surprised if Taker gets his win back. Prediction: Undertaker wins.
WWE Summer Slam 2015 will be airing live on the WWE Network this Sunday (Monday morning in Manila). FOX will also be airing the show locally.
