1. Tree Trunk’s Apple Pie from Adventure Time
Tree Trunks’ Apple Pie Recipe (source: Feast of Fiction)
INGREDIENTS:
9″ Pie Pan
1 roll out crust for bottom and top
8-9 medium sized red delicious apples
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp water
PROCEDURE:
Peel, core, and slice your apples into thin even slices. Place aside.
On medium heat, melt butter in a sauce pan. Stir in flour until dissolved. Add in white sugar, brown sugar, water, and vanilla extract. Stir until dissolved. Add in nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir until dissolved and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce temperature and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
In a 9″ pie pan, place your bottom crust and fill with a third of your apple slices. Dollop in your sauce and coat the bottom layer. Repeat the process for the next two tiers of the pie, spreading the sauce evenly over the top each time.
To create the lattice, roll out your top crust to be slightly larger than the top of your pie pan. Slice into 3/4 inch slices (or thicker or thinner depending on how intricate you’d like your lattice to be). Place all of the vertical slices down on top of the pie. Then weave in each horizontal slice. Here’s an excellent guide on how to do it – you should be able to get the hang of it within a few rows!
Once the lattice is completed, trim the extra edges and flatten the crust with a fork around the whole pie. Set your oven to 350 degrees and bake on the middle rack. This pie should take about an hour to complete, you’ll know it’s done when you can stick a toothpick and puncture the apples inside easily. Remove and serve with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a healthy family of flies, Tree Trunks style!

2. Poro Snax from League of Legends
Poro Snax Recipe (Source: Feast of Fiction)
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/3 cup warm water
1 tbsp active dry yeast
2 tbsp sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 tbsp parsley
4 cloves garlic
3 tbsp butter
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup mozarella
PROCEDURE:
Begin by activating your yeast with warm water. Follow your package’s instructions carefully! Save the remainder of the 1 1/3 cup of water. Let the yeast activate. In a separate bowl, mix your flour, salt and sugar. Add your activated yeast and knead / mix until fully combined. Knead for 10 minutes or use a mixer for 5-6 minutes on medium-low. Place in a covered bowl and let the dough rise for 10 minutes.
Roll out your dough into a long flat rectangle. Spread melted butter and minced garlic evenly across the top. Add a light layer of shredded parmesan cheese and mozzarella. Roll up the dough starting on the longer side of the rectangle.
To get the closest shape to a Poro Snack you will want to roll up the dough 3 or 4 times. Be careful rolling up starting horizontally! Pinch the dough along the edge to secure it when you finish rolling.
Use a string to cut the roll of dough. To use a string, slide it underneath the roll, then cross the string over itself. Pull the string to squeeze and cut a slice off of the dough.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Oil a pan and evenly distribute your uncooked Poro Snax on it. Bake for 8 minutes. Pull the pan out of the oven and butter the tops and add your marinara sauce, pepperoni slices and/or shredded cheese. Place back in the oven for 2 minutes. Remove and serve with a side of marinara or ranch dipping sauce! Enjoy!

4. Poke puffs from Pokemon X & Y
Poke Puff Recipe (Source: The Cake is not a Lie)
INGREDIENTS:
For the CAKE:
White cake batter – I say white because this allows you to more easily dye the batter with different colors. Yellow cake will be okay, but the colors probably won’t come out as well.
Chocolate cake batter – for the mocha and spice puffs. Pro tip: just put some coca powder in your white cake batter.
Frosting dye (Pink, Orange, Green) – This is different from regular food coloring, because regular food coloring is very watery and will mess up the consistency of your icing. While this can be done, is makes the frosting making more difficult, and you may have a hard time piping your icing into anything that will hold its shape. Either the frosting dye or regular food coloring will be fine for changing the color of the cake batter.
Cocoa powder – for the chocolate frosting and the chocolate cupcakes.
Powdered sugar – a lot of it. I don’t measure this when I make frosting, but you will probably need 4 pounds (8 cups) or more. There is a lot of frosting going on here.
Butter – for the frosting. Because shortening is gross and you shouldn’t be eating that garbage.
Milk – to make the frosting.
Vanilla, Mint extract, and Orange extract – this is for each flavor of pokepuff (sweet, mint, and citrus). Just add a tiny bit (like half teaspoon) to each of your corresponding batters. You may also wish to add some to your frostings.
Toppings:
Pirouette cookies – or something that looks like them, for the deluxe mint Pokepuffs.
Orange Slice Gummies – Or anything that looks like an orange slice, for the deluxe citrus puffs
Maraschino cherries, for the deluxe sweet puffs
Chocolate Rectangles, Milk and White – such as the rectangular pieces of a Hershey’s or Lindt Bar (or nearly any chocolate bar that breaks into pieces. For the Mocha and Spice puffs.
Chocolate molds: This depends on what puffs you want to make: Supreme Fall PokePuff needs leaves, Supreme Honor PokePuff needs Stars, etc.
Other:
Icing bags and tips to distribute frosting
Normal sized Muffin Tin
Wax paper if you want to make Supreme Spring Puffs
A lot of time and patience. I made all of these puffs in two days: bake one day, decorate another.

5. Minecraft Cake
Minecraft Cake Recipe (Source: AllRecipeUK)
INGREDIENTS:
For the cake
230g unsalted butter, softened
250g caster sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
300g plain flour
75g cocoa powder
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
275ml milk
To decorate
4 tablespoons cherry or strawberry jam (optional)
1 recipe chocolate buttercream icing
400g marzipan
red food colouring
icing sugar, for dusting
PROCEDURE:
For the cake:
Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease two 23cm (9 in) square cake tins and dust with flour or cocoa powder.
Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt, then add to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, gently mixing between each addition. Divide the cake mixture evenly between the two prepared cake tins.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch. Remove from oven and let cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
To decorate:
If the cakes have risen too much in the centre, carefully slice off a bit of the top to make sure the tops of both cakes are flat. Sandwich the two layers together using jam, if desired, or some chocolate buttercream.
Spread the chocolate buttercream icing all over the top and sides of the cake.
Take some marzipan, about the size of a golf ball, and roll it in some red food colouring, using just a few drops at first and adding more if needed. Knead the marzipan to distribute the colouring throughout. Set aside.
Roll out the remaining marzipan on a work surface dusted with icing sugar. Cut out a 23cm (9 in) square of marzipan, then carefully transfer to the top of the cake.
Re-roll the trimmings of marzipan and cut into four 23x3cm (9 x 1 1/2 in) strips. Cut three rectangular notches out of each strip. Place a strip on each side of the cake, with the notches facing downwards. Gently press the top and side edges of marzipan together to seal.
Roll out the piece of red marzipan and cut out squares of varying sizes. Spread a little bit of chocolate buttercream on the back of each square to act as glue, then place in a random Minecraft pattern on top of the cake.
