Metal Gear Solid Seiyuu: “Kojima was fired”

Metal Gear Solid voice actress/seiyuu Donna Burke has been quoted as saying that Hideo Kojima was fired by Konami upper management.

In this latest development of the murky Kojima-Konami spat (which we recapped here), Burke has this to say over Twitter:

This comes amidst fans cancelling pre-orders of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain due to the whole Kojima situation.

Burke is not the first Metal Gear Solid voice actor to plead to the fans regarding the pre-orders. Akio Otsuka, Snake’s Japanese seiyuu, has also asked fans to not cancel their Metal Gear Solid V pre-orders.

Konami has already commented that Burke’s claims are “categorically incorrect.”
