Tekken 7 Character Data leaked!

So, Tekken 7 saw its wide release a couple of days ago, and some of the players who’ve had access to the game have leaked some images including Devil Jin, Jin Kazama’s new look, and images of two unidentified, possibly new characters.

Firstly, we see Devil Jin hasn’t changed much: Still with the spikes, the chains, and the one red shoe.

I mean seriously, look at that shoe. I have never been able to take Devil Jin seriously because of that shoe.

Next up, Jin Kazama who has slowly been channeling his metro side since Tekken 4.

Dat armored hoodie. And again, dat footwear.

Jin has finally broken away from his punk karateka look and made his formal debut into visual kei, ladies and gentlemen. If we don’t get a face custom with eyeliner I will be sorely disappointed.

*coughs*

Anyhow, moving on to the unidentified characters, take a good look at this next image.

It’s still uncertain whether this is just a character costume or an unrevealed new character, but some of the discussions about the character since the image release have pointed out that the costume seems to be taking elements from the Philippine flag. Particularly the sun ray motif, and the use of red, blue, and yellow. Producer Harada has mentioned previously on his Twitter the possibility of using a Filipino character in Tekken, so while it seems like a bit of a stretch, it’s not entirely out of the question.

Speaking of Harada’s creative decisions though, check out this unidentified character here.

When Gotham is in ashes you have my permission to die.

Mmmm. This one seems completely out of left field, but we’re talking about a game that has had a bear, a kangaroo, and an epileptic old man as playable characters, so why the hell not? People think that this might just be a Jack costume or something, but hey, who knows, right?

We’ll just have to wait until we get more news, or until we finally get our grubby little hands on the game.

Tekken 7 saw its wide arcade release on March 18 2015, and has been announced for future release on Playstation4 and Xbox One.
