James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier Finally Goes Bald for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

After two movies of a full-headed Charles Xavier, we’re finally getting the Professor X that we deserve for X-Men: Apocalypse – bald.

Director Bryan Singer, who loves posting updates of his movie to Instagram, recently posted a picture of James McAvoy getting his head shaved to prepare for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Honestly, as much as I loved Patrick Stewart in the role, McAvoy’s younger and conflicted portrayal is great. I honestly can’t think of a better replacement for Stewart. And now that we have a younger and bald Xavier, we’re getting a really comic book accurate Professor X.

I just hope we don’t go too comic-accurate:
