MNL48 Releases Their Debut Single at the New Movie Star Café

The First Generation of MNL48 has finally revealed their biggest pasabog! The MNL48 Debut Single is finally out!

Our very own musical idols finally make their debut in the world of entertainment! The First Generation of MNL48 has just revealed their biggest pasabog in the form of their Debut Single. What’s A Geek! and other members of the press, along with sponsors, heard the stunning single in the newly-opened Movie Stars Cafe in Eton Centris Mall, Quezon City.

MNL 48 Debut Single!

The Senbatsu of MNL48 (Ash best girl) performed with their new uniforms in the newly-opened Movie Star Café. Idol group members Abby, Sela, Tin, Alice, Ella, Ash, Gabb, Jem, Sayaka, Faith, Lara, Grace, Quincy, Alyssa, Erica, and Sheki looked absolutely stunning in their seifuku.

MNL48 impressed both viewers and attendees alike with precision dance moves and coordination, feats not easy to pull off given their song’s nature. The Senbatsu took the time to answer questions from the press, despite the day’s focus being their MNL48 Pasabog.

The idol group finally revealed the songs in their MNL48 Debut Single. Fans of the group should be ready for the following songs:

  • Aitakatta – Gustong Makita
  • Sakura no Hanabiratchi – Talulot ng Sakura
  • Skirt Hirari – Umiindak na Saya

Eagle-eyed fans and Japanese language enthusiasts may find the translated lyrics tad a bit too formal. Though given today’s performance of Aitakatta, the other two may be catchy songs that one might just forgive the translation.

The media and sponsors got an early peek at the MV for ‘Aitakatta – Gustong Makita‘ which was shot and directed by Sho Makino. Despite the evident Japanese undertones of the song, the video showcased the beauty of Intramuros and Manila.  It’ll officially be out on August 31 along with digital releases on iTunes and Spotify!

Without any more fanfare, check out their live performance of Aitakatta and Skirt Hirari!

Movie Stars Café Opening

Quick bit about the Movie Stars Café — the place is all new and much bigger than the old one near SM Mall of Asia. Like the old cafe, the place is filled with geek memorabilia like Batman and Iron Man statues.

Their walls are also filled with pictures and signatures from local and Hollywood stars. They also have a daily show filled with costumed characters who are sure to entertain the group, no matter what age!
