ToyCon 2016
Hey geeks, nerds, and toy collectors — ToyCon2016 is this weekend! The Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention is Asia’s longest running convention for everything that we geeks love and crave.
Look forward to collectibles, toys, anime, comics, games and anything and everything related to hobbies and collections — this is the BIGGEST pop culture event in the country!
Celebrating their milestone 15th year, ToyCon has upgraded their annual June event to be the first international multi-genre entertainment convention in the Philippines. From their regular spot at SM Megamall, they’ve moved to the SMX Convention Center at the MOA Complex, so if you’re one of the 40,000 people who are attending, expect to see tons of new stuff!
Partnering up with Pop Life Entertainment to bring us the ultimate FanXperience for Filipino pop-culture fans, ToyCon’s three-day convention this June 10 to 12 will feature astonishing events such as:
The Stan Lee Excelsior Exhibit!
The Pop Life Exhibit – where tons of new Funko products will be released, including the new Funko Pop! Siyokoy and limited convention exclusives!
CosFanX – the biggest international Cosplay competition, which also gives the winners a chance to represent the country in Thailand!
The Voltes V Exhibit – whose 40th anniversary will be highlighted by the 20-foot statue and a whole lot of other memorabilia!
There will also be photo ops and signing opportunities with celebrities like Kristian “Hold-the-door Hodor” Nairn, Mario Maurer, Daniel Logan and many more!
Aside from the great number of events planned out for this three day affair, lucky con-goers will be treated to so many toy booths that wallets may as well be crying for weeks! For those availing of three-day passes, look forward to tons of freebies like the new Funko! Kobe Bryant among others.
