So, Internet, over the weekend, while we were busy geeking out and celebrating everything about being a nerd at APCC, this happened:

Yeah. GMA’s Alyas Robin Hood was revealed, along with not-so-subtle similarities to a certain show airing on the CW called Arrow.

And the Internet went insane.

It didn’t help that Arrow star Stephen Amell saw the trailer and gave his own confused reaction:

Seriously though – local network imitates popular IP. In other news, water is wet and the sky is blue. We’ve seen this over and over again, and it’s honestly tiring to see a lot of local creatives struggling to promote their local ideas on the indie circuit, while safe and blatant unoriginal shows get greenlit.

We just needed a bunch of salty nerds to make something out of the nerd rage.
