Rip Hunter and Hawkgirl Have Been Cast for The Flash and Arrow Spinoff

Things are getting well underway with the announcement of the two new cast members for the untitled Flash and Arrow spinoff series for the CW.

The new heroes cast are Arthur Davill and Ciara Renee.

Davill will be playing the role of DC’s Time Master, Rip Hunter described as “a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit.” The actor is most famous for his role as Rory in “Doctor Who”.

Meanwhile Renee will be playing Hawkgirl aka Kendra Sunders who is described as “a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl.”

However, it has been cleared up already that Hawkgirl isn’t part of the show’s ‘Big Three’; Hunter will be part of that one however.

The duo joins the already announced cast including Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/ Atom), Victor Garber (Martin Stein), Caity Lotz (formerly Sara Lance on Arrow) together with ‘The Flash’ villains Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) and Dominic Purcell (Heatwave).
