It’s that time of the week once again where we highlight the results of the various popular wrestling federations around the world. We’re at the stage where pivotal events are happening around the globe: the Mexican Lucha Libre “Wrestlemania”, the final stretch of the G1 Climax tournament of New Japan Pro Wrestling, and WWE’s summer spectacle WWE Summer Slam beckons! One of Mexico’s premiere lucha libre federations, AAA (or Asistencia Asesoría y Administración), held their annual Wrestlemania-level event last Sunday in Mexico City. Unfortunately, production issues and sub-par wrestling (including a rare negative 5-star rated match by Dave Meltzer) killed this event.

Apparently WWE already spoiled the potential results of WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn during the most recent NXT tapings.
Former Pro Wrestling Guerilla champion Johnny Gargano and former Ring of Honor stalwart Tomasso Ciampa has also been seen in the sam NXT tapings, getting a win over Tyler Breeze and Bull Dempsey
There are reports saying that Joanie Laurer, aka former WWE diva Chyna, made a commotion during Roddy Piper’s private funeral. Reports mention Laurer making a beeline towards Triple H.
Other matches that got confirmed this week are the Intercontinental title triple threat between Ryback, Big Show and The Miz, the Divas trios triple threat, and another tag team Fatal 4-way for the Tag straps.
Samoa Joe vs Baron Corbin has been added to he NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn card.
Hiroshi Tanahashi wins the A Block of the G1 Climax. Meantime, despite having the same number of points, Shinsuke Nakamura gets to go to the final thanks to that win against Kazuchika Okada. They both ended up with 14 points each. Full G1 standings can be seen below

We got really solid performances from the New Japan side, but major props goes out to #BigMike Michael Elgin. He has truly gained the adoration of the Japanese audience, and managed to get solid performances even against the Young Lions.

The Rusev flag segment. One of the few bright spots from last Monday night.
