You may think geek events are over when our pal Jose Mari Chan officially opened the Holiday Season with his tunes. However, geeking out doesn’t exactly follow a schedule. In fact, sometimes it gets you in the zone regardless of what you’re doing. For instance, in this October 2018 events and happenings calendar, we’ll see October isn’t always about the spooky.

To our surprise, it turns out October 2018 shapes up to be quite the non-scary endeavor. Interestingly enough, October this year highlights indie creators, art enthusiasts, developers, and gamers.

Shake, Rattle, and Run! (Oct. 28)

The Holidays lurk just around the corner, and #BalikAlindog2019 looms to strike us when it’s hot. So while you’re at it, why not start the fitness habit with a bit of a spook? Shake, Rattle, and Run 2018 pegs a running event in the vein of the popular Filipino horror franchise. Join fellow horror fans and fitness enthusiasts at the CCP Complex on Oct. 27!

The Verdict: October 2018 Events To Almost Cap The Year

You’d think October would have less “fun” events to prepare for the holiday season. Or if it did, much of October events would likely be all about horror. We were just as surprised when it turns out none of this was the case. Save for the exciting Kontrabida Ball, creativity and passion seems to flow right into the hearts of geeks and enthusiasts as the year ends.

Which of these events will you attend? You might catch our crew in some of these gatherings! Don’t be afraid to say “Hi!” if you do!
